A revolution is brewing

So, I am sitting here at the TIE (Technology in Education) Pre-conference at Copper Mountain, contemplating all the really cool stuff that can happen in school libraries. Keynote speaker, Dr. David L. Loertscher, Professor, San  Jose State University has gotten librarians all  fired up about creating a Learning Commons. Chelmsford High School in Massachusetts took the leap.  How engaged are your students anyway? Here’s a check list of things that make a library really pop. Still not convinced? Join a conversation with other librarians who are thinking about transforming their library. LJ Article.

New Library at Merino Elementary School

(Previously,  the entire library and 26 computers were stuffed into one average-sized classroom, so she is delighted with the space.)
