My Experience at the REFORMA Mini Conference

What an informative conference! I am so glad I had the opportunity to go. I am a graduate student and this was my first library conference. I left the conference feeling refreshed and ready to make changes in my own library. The first presentation on Buying Books in Espan͂ol was informative and engaging. I left knowing what types of books are the most important to buy for the Spanish Speaking population in the Denver-Metro area. I also left with the knowledge on the best websites to search when looking for popular books and authors in Spanish speaking countries around the world.

The last session on Multicultural Children’s Literature in Picture Books was also very informative and I immediately started analyzing many of the books in my school library for correct representations of different cultures.

Awesome conference filled with librarians who were enthused to be sharing their knowledge and resources with all of the attendees!

Be Sociable, Share!
