Who created your library Website? Who maintains it? Does it give patrons access to online databases like EBSCO from home? Where is it hosted? Join On Tech for an interactive teleconference on library websites Thursday December 13 at 10 AM.
On Tech, a consulting firm the Colorado State Library has contracted with for e-rate services is hosting this teleconference, and will briefly share information and trends about how libraries in other states are handling technology issues, but these meetings are intended for Colorado libraries to participate and to share what they are doing. What is working and what is not.
Seven days! This is a nudge, a reminder about the approaching application deadline for participation in ILEAD USA…
If you’re one working on an application to be a program attendee (iLeader), it’s not too late to gather up others for your team (or align with a team seeking an additional member). You CAN DO IT!
Team applications are important. Why are we requesting that interested individuals form teams before the application process? You’ll find that answer here, in our FAQ entry.
Need help finding team members?
ILEAD USA is about taking risk, pushing yourself. Show us you’re made of the right stuff!
All applications for iLeaders (team members), mentors, and instructors are due Friday December 14, 2012! Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity!
We always welcome your questions.
The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.”– William Arthur Ward
- Do you have skills in technology, managing change, project management and/or leadership?
- Would you find it rewarding to share your expertise with others?
- Are you able to convey knowledge to others in an exciting interesting way that helps them retain and build on the content?
Help inspire the next generation of library leaders in Colorado! Apply to be an instructor for ILEAD USA! We are looking for inspirational instructors to teach leadership and/or technology classes.
We are still working on the curriculum for this program, but you can view a list of possible classes on our website. We are open to recommendations for classes as well, so share your thoughts with us in your application!
In addition to sharing your knowledge and expertise with library staff across 5 states, instructors will have the opportunity to network with library leaders, and attend many of the other leadership and technology sessions.
Applications are due December 14, 2012. Feel free to contact Christine Kreger with any questions at 303-866-6046 or email@example.com!
Do you have workstations for public use? Wireless Internet access for patron laptops? Do you filter? If so, what filter do you use?
Join us for an online discussion about Internet access and filtering in libraries on Thursday December 6 from 10-11 AM.
