The Colorado Blue Spruce Young Adult Book Award recognizes the most popular books among middle and high school students in the State of Colorado. Teens nominate their favorite titles and select the winner – adults do not vote. All the materials needed to participate in the Blue Spruce Award can be found on this site, and may be freely printed and distributed.
Traveling book sets are available to all interested parties. If you don’t want to tie up circulation of your library’s copies, or if you don’t have a budget for multiple copies of all the titles, this is a great way to do a quick and easy display! We will send you, free of charge via courier, a complete set of the Blue Spruce nominees as well as booktalks for each title. Sets may be kept for three weeks and the borrower is responsible for arranging for return courier at the end of the loan period.
