CLiC Scholarships to CAL – Deadline September 15

Don’t Delay! Scholarship applications for CAL Conference due on September 15th!!

In addition to the scholarships that CAL is offering to their November annual conference, the Colorado Library Consortium (CLiC) is pleased to offer the following scholarships to CAL:
Three (3) free registrations to the pre-conference on Advocacy on November 8th from 9 – 12.
Three (3) free registrations to the CAL conference – one each to a school, public, and academic librarian.
Recipients will be required to fill out an evaluation after attending the conference.

There are two separate application forms – one for the pre-conference and one for the conference (this application is for both the CAL scholarships and the CLiC scholarships.)

What?
A one-day supervisory training workshop provided by the Colorado Library Consortium (CLiC)

Morning Session: Performance Documentation Skills
Performance Documentation Skills provides supervisors with the critical skills necessary to effectively manage and evaluate employee performance. Participants will learn a performance documentation process and understand its importance in preventing legal claims.

Afternoon Session: Legal Issues for Public Employers
The Legal Issues workshop enables professionals to address the increasingly complex legal issues involved in making employment decisions in today’s workplace. This session reviews the key federal and state laws that affect everyday employment decisions. Focus will be on Termination Issues, Privacy Issues, but will touch on Wrongful Discharge and Civil Rights Laws.
