Reference 101 Online Tutorial

CLiC recently unveiled the first in a series of Online Tutorials for library staff. Reference 101 is designed to give the new library staff member or anyone looking for a refresher – a brief overview of what goes into a good reference interview and what reference resources are available in your library or through the Internet. Even if you’re an experienced reference staff member you may want to check out the list of Internet resources on our http://del.icio.us/ref101 website. There is a quiz and evaluation at the end of the tutorial that we invite you to take. However, we’d like you to share your candid comments about the tutorial so they can be shared with the library community.

SW Area Librarians Meeting in Telluride!

Wow, what a great meeting we had on Thursday July 20, at Telluride’s Wilkinson Public Library, with over 25 library staff members from many southwest area libraries! Hope you all enjoyed the meeting as much as I did! Besides the delicious food, hearing the great ideas every library shared, and the tech trends presentation by Barb Brattin, it was fun just to see you all.

Minutes from the 7/19/06 meeing.

Next meeting: October 12 in Pagosa Springs at the Community Center!
