Academic Library Summit – June 3, 2005

Deans, Directors of libraries, librarians, university and college leaders, and other interested persons will be gathering at the Colorado Convention Center on June 3rd to discuss “The Changing Face of Higher Education”. Sessions include “The Role of the Academic Library in Institutional Reorganization”, the “Library as Place”, “Library Partnerships/Sharing Resources”, “Changes in Scholarly Communication”, and “Information Literacy”. The importance of meeting with colleagues from across the state on issues extremely relevant to all makes this a conference that no one should miss.

Opening Blog

The staff at the Colorado Library Consortium (CLiC) are pleased to be able to start blogging our news and insights on libraries throughout Colorado. We are a cohesive group recruited from around the state including Valerie Horton, Beth Filar Williams, Lisa Priebe, Teresa Abeyta, and Shelley Walchak. CLiC is a non-profit consortium whose purpose it is to serve all libraries throughout Colorado, specifically offering continuing education opportunites; group purchases in databases and other library-oriented materials and services; and consulting services. We hope to offer a forum for discussion on a variety of library-oriented topics in Colorado, and we encourage participation from around the state.
